Now Introducing….

We, new Railyard cohort - Jessica, Dan, Elsa and Robert - joined the Dossier team last Monday, and now that we have been here for almost two weeks, we thought it was time to introduce ourselves! In this post we will tell you about each of us - our backgrounds, aspirations and an interesting fact.

Jessica is the only business grad on the team, she graduated from the Beedie School of Business at SFU concentrating in marketing about a month ago. Her passion is sustainability, specifically the concept of zero waste and Cradle-to-Cradle. A couple of fun facts: she bikes to work everyday and loves to drink tea. At the end of her internship, she hopes to have learned more about how design-thinking can be put into practice from a business perspective.

Dan recently completed SIAT’s (School of Interactive Art and Technology) design program at SFU. He is passionate about the all encompassing experience of interacting with a brand, trying and using products and doughnuts. Something interesting about Dan is that he likes puppies, but has an unconditional hatred of pants, shoes and stairs. After his time at Dossier, he hopes to have gained a stronger sense of the role that strategy plays in brand formation, realization and execution.

Elsa is currently in her third year at SIAT’s design program at SFU. She is passionate about branding identity, typography and party planning. Something interesting about Elsa is that she is an avid Instagrammer. She hopes to learn how to better interact with clients and about the benefits of joining design and business.

Robbie is a recent graduate from SIATs design program at SFU. His passions lie in branding identity and illustration. Something interesting about Robbie is he was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He hopes to have a deep grasp about branding and identity strategy after his time at Dossier.

The Railyard team will be working on a variety of projects this summer. We hope that our time with Dossier is a valuable learning experience with lots of take-aways. For more about Dossier check out their website at www.dossiercreative.com
